Staff Training Simulation
This is a hands-on simulation of moderating the VividPyro fireworks community. You'll face 18 realistic situations in a Discord-style server and decide how a great staff member would handle each one. Everything is timed, recorded, and reviewed by higher staff.
Before you start
These are the exact principles the simulation grades you on. Reading them first is the single biggest thing you can do to score well. Take your time.
How we expect staff to think before they touch a single button.
The order we escalate in. Skipping rungs without reason is 'over-punishment'.
We're a fireworks community. Bad advice here can get someone hurt. Treat these seriously.
How to handle people who come to you — sometimes angry, sometimes lying.
The line you don't cross, even when no one's watching.

Version 2026-07-04 — you must accept to continue
By taking this training, you understand this part of the steps on becoming staff could be determined by the report at the end of the training. Please note everything — retry, every mistake, and more — is all documented and viewed. You also understand your staff role can be taken away at any time if you break our guidelines; this was explained in the application. Generally, this means not remaining active or abusing your powers. Of course, you will be given warnings and chances depending on the situation.
As a moderator, you will be exposed to adult language and adult topics that may be unsuitable and unsettling for young people. Please be aware we are not responsible for anything you are exposed to. This is one of the reasons why this training was built. Apply at your own risk.
When you complete this training, remember that you are NOT guaranteed a spot even if you passed. Please do not harass the staff team if you are rejected. Our decisions are final, and begging/whining will not sway our decision — this will only reflect badly on your character and further convince us why you shouldn't be chosen in the future.
The purpose of this training and simulation is to show us Higher Staff members how much you already know — how good your common sense, your grasp of the rules in the server, and everything else really are. This also determines if you continue on in the staff process.
This training should take you 1 – 2 hours to complete. We recommend that you DO NOT RUSH and fully read all questions and all scenarios for a better chance of a higher score. A bad score and continuing with wrong actions will lower your chances to be accepted.
Please proceed when you are ready.
Good luck. Read every scenario fully before you act.
